Polls not looking good for Trump after Orlando

Sure, or also unicorns could appear and change the election. They’re also probably imaginary.

Then they’ll just have to get their asses kicked by the North again, just like last time.

I don’t see them even trying though.

An interesting but possibly untestable idea.
If he becomes President his finances will become subject to scrutiny, won’t they? Making private calls will be difficult. Secret servicemen will be around him day and night. And there will be Republicans who would like to see President Trump impeached, people with names like Cruz and Rubio.
I doubt Scotland would want him but the Isle of Man is pretty close, perhaps he could buy the presidency of that. He could be President Trump, everybody happy.

A bit beyond the pale there.

What are the chances someone posted this on Facebook today (totally unrelated AFAIK.)

Adlai Stevenson and William Jennings Bryan thank you!

Whatever happened to Condolezza Rice? Surely she is a better candidate than Donald Trump?

Well, this is strange. Generally any politician in an event like that will at least come up with something awful and bland like “our prayers and thoughts are with the victim’s families”. I have always thought that this was a standard formula, like MP’s calling each other the ‘Right Honourable’ even when they hate their guts, and it had no real purpose. But it seems there are people who are not capable of doing even that. They would rather say “See, this is what happens if you go against us”, with the unspoken “but you will never prove I ordered it, ha-ha” following silently. We have Nigel Farrage in the UK, and you have Trump in the US. Both of them could not resist the opportunity to strut, and pose, and smile enigmatically when any and all political experience should say ‘look sad and concerned’. And it looks like they a both might burn as a result.

I am not sure I want to be protected by a rule as stupid as that. It is a pretty last-ditch defence. But I had a poster through my door today telling us we have to pay the price for a new NHS hospital every week to Europe, and in return we get a city the size of Newcastle in refugees every year (not even remotely accurate). The Daily Mail is still being printed. Right now, I will take all the protection I can get in these interesting times.

Why threaten it, why not just do it? If he means to ruin Clinton, then (to paraphrase Mel Gibson (sorry)), why send a note?

I would modestly propose that Sanders’ recipes for eating the rich would have been so much tastier.

I kid…I kid…

I bet he’s already got a safe full, because no self-styled Master of the Universe is complete without one.

Excellent.

He should start his own country of Trumpistan in Utah. It’ll have a fabulous yuge wall around it and after his citizens move there and close the door - the rest of us can seal it with a giant lock made out of an alloy of adamantium and mithril.

I came to the comments to hear the Bernie dead-enders whine and wail about the assumption that Hillary will be the Democratic nominee. I’m pretty disappointed so far. Get with it, people.

Interesting that Clinton isn’t gaining much of anything with Trump’s plunge in polling.
I wonder who is? Of course polls including Sanders seem particularly rare these days according to my quick Googling. Hmmm…

I’d swear that this guy is physically timid. I don’t think putting himself at risk even behind such a tool of mayhem is his style.
