How pathetic… it takes a special dose of desperation to even consider attending such a thing.
Didn’t notice any women flocking to the stage; I did notice some of the goobers flashing their ‘white power’ gang sign.
Only surprise here is that some of them aren’t single.
I am betting that these delicate snowflakes are expecting someone young, rich & beautiful [and white] to put up with their bullshit because they think it is their birthright & they deserve no less.
They might have better luck if they weren’t such assholes…

Oh gods, that song brings back all the horrible memories of being forced to listen to AM radio on the school bus at 6AM on a freezing winter morning.
On topic: It’s obvious that being a “proud boy” (nothing that they should be taking any pride in) prevents the possibility of female companionship, but which came first? Did they lose their love life because of taking on the “proud boy” lifestyle? or did they become “proud boys” because no woman would have anything to do with them?

Well their “defense” when people call them fascists and white supremacists is “no we’re western misogynists” so it’s not like they’re shouting “we hate women” on a constant basis.
But in terms of where they’re from, the group was founded by the guy who started Vice. Headquartered in Portland. Seem to mostly be white collar professionals. And they’ve got an outsized presence in places like Philly and Austin.

Funny thing, that’s where I’m from and what motivated me to say what I did about the place where I’m from are my experiences being from here and knowing people from here. Not sure where the contradiction is though? Could you clarify? There’s plenty of conservative women who are deeply into tradwife culture here and in the surrounding areas. I don’t know much about Portland but I really wouldn’t be very surprised to find that is also true there at all. Then again, having the kinds of experiences I have in life has disavailed me of any notion that regions that have a lot of conservative women who are deeply committed to tradwife culture, and which are currently targeted as havens for proud boys, do not also comprise large cities with populations in them that also think otherwise or that those populations of either tradwives or proud boys do not intersect with “white collar” work (tbh it’s hard to be a modern tradwife on a single “blue collar” paycheck even with the lower cost of living in rural areas). Perhaps it was on me to clarify… because the sooner that perception ends the better for us all really… Particularly the classist implications there.

More a reaction to “over-there” tendency of usual commentary on this line. The Proud Boys are not a phenomenon of “red state” or “fly over” country. They are at their core both Northern and urban.
Which is something important to remember about your new organized white supremacy. It’s not some other in “tradwife” territory. It’s the guy sitting next to you.

I guess but I’d like to reiterate that “tradwife” culture is primarily a culture of privilege, and is a very middle-class conservative cultural phenomenon itself and is not “over there.”
