Just referring to what in my opinion is a composition fallacy.

It is confirmed by evidence that all people who wore those specific arm bands in that time period were national socialist extremists

All people that wear that silly hat probably aren’t. Just very misguided.

Some are.

Fascists used to wear very fine suits. Today they changed fashion and are wearing a lot more casual.

By that rubric, which allows for no misguided Nazi armband wearers during the early '30s, it’s also confirmed by evidence that all people who wear these specific hats in this time period are right-wing populist extremists.

There’s no “composition fallacy” here, and a general link to a site about information visualisation doesn’t do anything to support your claim that there is. Your attempt to have an intellectual discussion is just that: an attempt, and a failed one.

If there’s anyone here who needs to “get buried in some history resources” before commenting on this matter it’s not Ruben Bolling or the regular commenters (amongst whom are actual historians); it’s you.

the whole MAGA-idea in itself is facist. and national-socialism in that meaning is extremism. there is no intensification. its just “national socialists”.

heard that one before, right, that was the excuse of most germans after the shitshow, too.

@Mike.71 sure you meant me?

So what? Why do people bother to say this? Every terrorist who commits suicide in order to blow a bus up is misguided. Every person who ever shot another person in the head for fun is misguided. Who the fuck cares about misguided? You ARE what you DO in the world.

Both the Confederates and the Nazis had better sense of style, though.

I think I see where this new poster is coming from. There’s been a huge uptick recently in right wing extremists pointing out the use of the word “Socialist” for the Nazi party, as some sort of proof that Nazis were left wing extremists.

So you see, it’s OK to generalize about a translated word that doesn’t mean what the world knows it to mean (socialist), but wearing a MAGA hat is just so much more individual so we can’t possibly know what’s in their hearts.

Correction for context only. Slavery and genocide aren’t very stylish, despite constantly being “in fashion” in some part of the world.

Maybe I’m really naive and stupid. I just like to think there’s a human in there somewhere and maybe if we try to understand; we could combine them of their vast offence against all that is peaceful and good.

Convince sorry phone keypad and just been swimming. Raisin fingers :blush:

Antifa had better haircuts though.

Regrettably, in many MAGA instances, it has moved beyond political movement to the Cult of Trump. No amount of logic will convince them that they are misguided and need to reconsider their stance. They like where they are.
