“You don’t care about the American people”
Can she make it any clearer that in her mind “american people” = whites?

This sounds close to “it’s only a crime if you are caught” type thinking.
What occured to me, upon reading this:
a) So, so much projection.
b) It’s an act, a performance for the media/cameras. That’s all she does, and that’s all she wants - she doesn’t want an actual response from AOC (who would demolish her).
c) Once again she (and Republicans at large) rely on being able to get away with being unhinged lunatics while counting on Democrats being nothing but polite and norm-adhering.
She’s more a “Marjorie Taylor Braun” I’d say.
Literally all she does is vote “no” on things (even thing supported generally by Republicans).
More projection. She’s counting on AOC (or whoever she’s attacking) to not respond.
On some level, but on the personal level, AOC isn’t engaging with her, quite correctly, because it would legitimize her and give her the attention she craves. Greene is a crank best ignored by individuals - and denounced on a group level.
Time for a restraining order. No contact and must stay at least 1000 feet away from AOC at all times. I mean, it’s not like MTG is actually doing any work inside the Capitol, anyway.
aside from fundraising and rabble rousing which currently seems the main task of the g.o.p.
That makes me smile, because everywhere I’ve ever worked, she’d be escorted from the building in about 5 minutes.
or perhaps marjorie taylor riefenstahl.
Nuh, Leni had undeniable talent
I don’t think AOC has that option
I’ve learned that’s the only thing to do with a harasser like Greene. Walk away (if you can) and make sure someone is watching your back when you do.
Local woman who supports actual terrorists and Nazis projects her own issues and screams and brown woman.
Film at 11.
“You’re the one trying to overthrow a democratically elected government, so you’re the one that supports terrorists, madam.”
I fully agree that AOC shouldn’t have engaged with her. That was the correct course of (in)action. It’s the denunciation at the group level that MUST occur. That’s exactly the response that is needed as opposed to screaming matches between legislators, or completely ignoring the event. Either of the latter would be what leads to escalation, either through mobilization of followers or the emboldening of the ignored aggressor.
I cannot decide if MTG is an example of why the Great Filter might not be the worst possibility for humanity or if she is part of a systematic problem that could cause our Great Filter. Now that I think about it, maybe it is a little bit of both.
Maybe the arrested part.
A reportedly armed crazy person stalking her in the hallways who has previously threatened her with immediate physical violence.
Er, I don’t follow.
It honestly feels like Greene is trying to goad AOC into a situation where she can “defend” herself. And she knows there’s a whole lotta people who will back her version of events.
Also, she’s not “thinking”, as such. She’s acting on pure impulse: the impulse of an ignorant, immature, cowardly, hateful person elected to Congress.
At what point does Q-woman’s actions become something she can be charged with assault for?
