In situations like this, can we make it policy to put “Christian” in scare quotes, please? I hate to go all “no true Scotsman” in this, but most Christians are moving as quickly as possible to support the victims in this tragedy. This asshole is as Christian as Trump is.

Of course. He was a classic conservative cut tax and spender. All I mean is that he managed to get through a decade with the majority of buildings left standing in the country. I am by no means convinced that will be the end result of Trump’s term.

What defines a Christian?
Is it belief Christ died for ones sins? Or is it doing honorable upstanding things that most people with a moral compass support?
If it is the former then it sounds like he was a Christian. If the latter then why the F don’t gays qualify as Christians.

Never forget what Jesus said about LGBT. Nothing. He said nothing. What is a Christian? Jesus loved people of all faiths, people his religion said to hate. He spent his life with the poor, the outcasts and and the despised. He cured people without prejudice. That’s a Christian. And this asshole is a “depart from me for I never knew thee” piece of shit.
