I’m not sure if you’re being serious or not, but it wouldn’t shock me if this was happening to some degree. The “made for the interwebs” quality of some of these cartoonish outbursts seems a bit orchestrated to me. It doesn’t have to be a giant conspiracy, by any means.

The part that gets me is she actually gets the manager to come out and speak with her for a minute before the relocation. Even the 100% wrong and racist Karen must be reassured and catered to before they escort her out.

I imagine, in the same way that some men overestimate 25% women in their workplace as more than 50%, a white person that is used to a personal environment of mostly white people can perceive a minority of POC as an overwhelming majority. The human brain is stupid.

Trump lied pretty much every time he spoke, and once he got rid of those “nasty women” accusing him of lying, his press pool ate his shit like ice cream.
I bet she sincerely believes the truth is whatever she says it is.

I find this very interesting. My family were performers, and it was understood that if you want to be heard, you need to speak up (from the diaphragm, in my mom’s phrase). If the folks in the back rows can’t hear you, it’s the performer’s, not the audience’s, fault. Yet I know many people who murmur, and if asked to repeat themselves take a big showy aggrieved intake of breath (like it’s so hard!) and speak – in a lower voice. But with a strangled, effortful affect. It’s the weirdest thing. When I’m masked, or occasionally double masked, I make an effort to speak quite loudly, maybe even too loud. But nobody says “what?”

Then the proper response needs to be dropping a large bag over the person, scooping them up bodily, and pitching them into a convenient disposal hatch.
I often envision this when this type of public display occurs, and it makes me smile.

While this DOES seem like an extremely white thing to do, most (like, at least 50.5%) white people manage to wear our masks like grown-ups and not throw insane tantrums in public, so we’d prefer you not try to use skin color as an explanation for your own selfish, infantile behavior, Ma’am.
