I’m not surprised that he’s insulting democrats and “the left”. I am surprised that he’s insulting civil war re-enactors, by associating them with the hate groups that marched on Charlottesville and carried torches and semi-automatic weapons, and wore swastikas.

Rohrabacher is in big trouble and he knows it. He has represented his district for a long time but Hillary Clinton won Orange County 51%-43% over Trump and if there is any kind of Democratic wave next year he will be one of the first to be swept away.

Even if there isn’t a Democratic wave per se he could still very possibly be out of a job. So he probably figures that if he’s on his way out anyway until then he might as well say whatever stupid shit he wants. I certainly hope he loses his job as he is one of the biggest assholes in Congress, which is really saying something for that lot.
