jeezus thats nuts. the mall kitchen supply store had a nice nissan/thermos sainless french press which is half that on amazon, and more or less what i paid for it. have had it 15ish years now and only had to replace the screen once. so if you haven’t got one yet.

I ended up with one in the $35 range, for a thermos-y style 50 oz french press. It fits the need and looks pretty. It won’t keep the coffee hot all day, but really… I should stop with the caffeine by 10:30 anyway.

My dad fondly remembers fish sticks with “tartar sauce” that was really basically just mayo and pickle relish mixed together.
