San Francisco Hat Company makes an awesome fedora

Thanks, that is a great site.

Sean Connery could get away with wearing a Trilby in “Dr. No.” The rest of us aren’t nearly cool enough to pull it off…

I used to take mine to the aforementioned closed hat shop. I bet Goorin Bros (http://www.goorin.com) can help.

SAN FRANCISCO HAT COMPANY??? That’s the same kind of hat my husband was wearing when he was killed on Bagel Street! Here’s what I think of your hat: [punches a hole through it]

Yay for fedoras.

I need to get a really broad brimmed one for a Shadow costume I am making for next springs local comic con.

But none of them seem big enough. I am thinking of taking this slouch hat, dye it black, try to reshape it some, and add a ribbon.

But now you sport a fez?

Honestly, for a project hat I’d recommend checking on eBay or AliExpress - there’s Chinese mass-produced felt fedoras dirt cheap, and they’ve probably got one with the right specs.

Since my wool fedora got bent out of shape, I’ve expanded onto other gentlemanly hatwear:

-IT company swag caps
-Bushman hat for camping/fishing
-Trucker cap reading ‘GIT-R-DUN’
-Chicago Cubs baseball cap

I’d love to get back into Fedora wearing, but my preferred hat would be my grandfather’s Stetson that got stolen by an ex of mine. Really need to bug her about that, once I get a suit that matches the color.

You guys, don’t start talking about the differences between Dubstep and Techno until I get some popcorn. … Okay, go.

If you really want to get people mad, conflate “EDM” with “techno”.

Bernie Utz! I never buy hats anywhere else.

You can get really nice hats in Buffalo, NY, too: Savage Millinery

The Village Hat Shop (right there in San Diego) has care tips:

Thanks! But alas, their storefronts only sell hats. They do have some nice ones but quite pricy (like > $200 for a Stetson or Borsalino Fedora.) I think one of my good classic Fedoras came from there. I’m looking to have my two good Fedoras and my Stetson cleaned and blocked.

I don’t know what that means, but I will try it. Electronic Dance Music?
