The problem therein is that anything you can think of, no matter how horrible; someone somewhere out there in the world has done it.
Even if the reddit story isn’t true, (and it’s wise to be skeptical) I’d bet money that there actually is someone who doesn’t wipe well (or at all) because they have hangups about their own manhood and fear “being gay.”
While I have low expectations of my gender, I agree that until I see some corroboration or a legit scooped story on this phenomenon, I’m putting it in the ‘Plausibly B.S.’ bin until then.
There is a lot of self-inflicted homophobia among men but this smells of, as both you and @knoxblox have said, upvote bait and general fuckery.

Given the anonymous nature of Reddit I’m often more inclined to believe postings on there. I mean, what do you have to gain by making up such a crazy story on a (usually) throwaway account? Not like karma points are really worth anything.
Plus, speaking as a dude, this is just all so plausible.
As it’s been pointed out some folks will do anything just for some attention, no matter how negative or indirect.
But given the rise in unrepentant stupidity over the the last few decades, I don’t put much of anything past anyone.

As a male. Can I just say. I am actually offended at the idea of linking these humanoids to masculinity or even identifying them as male. No. I’m a herterosexual man. No I am not attracted to other men, but seeing two men hold hands or lovingly embrace doesn’t threaten my sexuality.
