Agreed. We bought a 3 slot in 1992, I’ve replaced the elements twice. It was about £130 at the time.
Absolute bargain - and the reason why Dualit toasters are used in so many restaurants.

You can actually use an air fryer to toast bread.
It might take a couple of test runs to find the optimal settings, but as you can set both the time and the temperature, the air fryer potentially gives you finer control than the average toaster.
