Sourpuss walks into a pole

Have watched the video again, I tend to agree with you. Plus, when the light is already red, it’s better to slow down ahead of time on the off chance that it turns green before you reach it: it avoids a full stop and saves gas.

This. And it’s worse when children are involved, because they are even worse at judging what “a car” is going to do.

IKR?
The little tykes always wait until the last possible second before hitting the brakes.

Driver’s etiquette: You should always follow up an “you almost hit me!” with a friendly “I’m sorry, I’ll try harder next time”.

Sure there is. Stupid people causing themselves problems for which they usually blame others. Karma exists, and there’s nothing miraculous about it.

You follow the law and I’ll follow the law and when one of us breaks the law or actually endangers the other person then the other person has a reason to get mad. Kowtowing to neurotic jackasses looking to pick a fight is dumb, even though it’s immensely satisfying when the fight they wind up picking is with a metal pole.

If the difference between “appropriate, conscientious driving” and “I deserve to be able to physically attack you if I want to” is whether you’re paying attention before walking into the street or not, then I think you will deserve any poles you walk into while yelling at a driver who obeyed the law.

This pedestrian was a terrible human being, and you would be too, if you decided to act this way.

Where in the video were you able to read this man’s mind like that? All I saw was an angry-looking man waving his fists and raising his middle finger and by no means making any move towards the vehicle for some sort of attack, as you claim.

It was a typical threat display by a passerby, pointing and yelling, shaking his fist as if to say “I can punch you with this”, then walking away. I mean, that’s usually what it means when someone mimes punching motions at someone. But I wasn’t saying he was trying to physically attack him. Just make empty threats.

If your reaction to a car stopping well before the line at a red light was to yell and shake your fist at them, there’s always the chance they’ll take you seriously.

Also, there’s no such thing as Karma.

No, there really is no such thing as Karma (or any kind of cosmic justice like that)

Then I am truly a horrible person, because right now I am making these gestures too, towards you.

You seem like you have as much anger as the guy in this video, if you’re in the habit of yelling and screaming and pretending to punch people for no reason.

Oh, I love to punch people for no reason. It’s worth every single day I’ve done time for it.

If you were coming from the right as the guy was turning right, it’s possible you were running on the wrong side of the street. My brother’s father-in-law died this way, and as my marathoner brother always cautions, “run against traffic!”

No, he was turning out of a parking lot. I was running against the traffic of the street, on the sidewalk, in the crosswalk of the parking lot to street transition. I assure you, this was all him looking left and going right. My only mistake was breaking my own “make direct eye contact with the driver” rule.

Cool. And no offense intended - I like spreading that particular word as it had cost my brother’s family so dearly.
