So many gun safety horrors, and I’m not even a gun person. I can only imagine how much more I’d be cringing if I’d done the actual gun safety course I’d need to get a firearm permit.

Thanks, that’s a mental image that I really don’t want to have! I’m scouring the Internet for a bottle of Mind Bleach™ © ® right now.
“ they appear to be personal injury attorneys and it is in their name only.”
Ah, right, ambulance chasing scumbags, says it all, really

Don’t you dare compare that abomination to Versailles!

And during the marches after Tamir there were more than a few guns brandished at protesters in full view of the cops. Those residents never faced any issues.

That’s the law in Poland and probably many other European countries. Anyone can buy a firearm that was designed before 1850, and anything newer requires license that can be extremely difficult to get depending on firearm type and declared intended use.

In a sane world they would be already arrested and awaiting trial.

There are almost certainly more art historians in the crowd than among their friends who get to see that abomination. The crowd needs to be kept out for its own sake, lest that cause apoplexy.

Even if he didn’t, that is the story I am spreading online.

Yep. And that’s what is so bullshit about the situation. If this were a black couple on their porch pointing guns at a group of white people, you know this would play out pretty differently. I will be amazed if there is a serious prosecution of this.

The intersection of wealth, race and gun culture. Sigh.

Was thinking more about the historical implications of Versailles ca 1799.

Gilt is gilt is gilt to me though.

Literally the bare minimum punishment should be removing the weapons from the home.

It weasn’t quite hidden to me, we had some living across the street.
Then again we also a nice gay couple who would give me rides to the school bus stop on really cold days and the next door neighbor (he used to run booze for the mob during prohibition wish I could have heard some of those stories but his funeral guest book was a who’s who of St. Louis mobsters) who unknown to me and my 3 friends from school (2 of which were black) came out and quitely but obivously sat down with a ball bat when the other neighbor hood kids wanted to hassle us for throwing around the frisbee in the street.

Now I am ever thankful that my parents pulled both me and my brother out of the regular public schools and using our whiteness to get into the magnet (or alternative as they are now called) schools which were supposed to be 50/50 mixed. I got exposed to a lot through that. My high school was in the O’Fallon neighborhood which other black kids would reply to me ‘damn white boy even I don’t go to that part of town’ and hanging playing D&D till the wee hours and then crashing at their house in Walnut Park cause no way a honky is gonna go catch the bus home at 2am there.

On topic if I recall the street that mansion should be on the borderline to the hood is just a few blocks north of them. But you know wypipo gonna wypipo.

I thought it applied to the entire property, not just inside the home.

Giving the couple looks that doesn’t know how to handle a firearm, could be that these are actually BB gun replicas?

Not that a BB pellet isn’t harmful but …

And guilt is guilt is guilt, and a perp should pay the consequences for it. But we all know that boatloads of money will save these assholes from any real consequences.

Stay classy hometown country. I am ever reminded why I never ever want to move back.

Fixed that for me.
