I must beeeeeeee… goiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing.
(not a doctor either) Well, very mentally ill people who receive no intervention eventually, as I’ve seen, enter into what I like to call the “end arc” of their pathology; their psychosis, which is actually doctor slang btw, has progressed to the point where there are no other parts of their personality left save for the illness and the vestigial remnants of their past attempts to integrate into society.
At that stage, all kinds of wacky stuff happens, like memory loss, what they used to call sociopathy, mood swings, even powerful delusions;
the patient can only feel what their illness provides. About everything.
Isn’t that SOP during a presidential transition?
In support of the well-respected principle that the incoming President selects her or his own team, the President has asked appointees to submit resignation letters effective no later than the inauguration of the new President. In conjunction with this off-boarding process, Administration officials have been working with agency personnel offices to provide additional personnel and benefits information to appointees prior to the end of the Administration.
Maybe some people are doing that, but that also, someday, might find them…we’ll say “Arrested” for now.
“I regret that I have but one job to give for the sake of my country.”
Yes. I think what makes this case unusual is that they all quit at once whereas most in their position would wait for re assignment, firing, or some other opportunity.
Or Trump accepted all the resignations at once and didn’t ask any to stay on.
Don’t turn around
The Kommissar’s in town
Maybe you meant the sycophantic Republican congressional leadership? Or perhaps the newly formed Office of People Who Will Lick trump’s Balls? Possibly you’ve been in touch with the State Duma and/or the Federation Council? Otherwise you’d know that your statement is ludicrous on its face.
Wherever you said it, it’s wrong.
Also an alternate fact that the military is exclusively Republican. I recently saw a meme which consisted of a picture of some women soldiers with the caption reading something along the lines of, “Let’s hear it for the REAL WOMEN who march for our rights.”
As if there was zero overlap between the two groups. I hate to say this, because it’s a pain in the ass, but part of resisting Trump has to be educating these dipshits about reality. I don’t care if people have different values and beliefs (well, I do care, but I acknowledge that this is matter of opinion rather than information) but the time has long since come to really knuckle down and pierce people’s bubbles. This is why, despite the obnoxious memes they post from time to time, I don’t unfriend right wingers on Facebook. I know they see my posts, and it’s literally the only reason I post as much political shit as I do on there. I try to zero in on the highly factual stuff that bridges any value gap.
I worked on one of their contracts, many moons ago. It’s a really F’ed up department. The DOJ on the other hand was lovely to work with.
Unclear. The additional loss of Diplomatic Security and Overseas Building Operations management is gonna hurt.
I find that very bizarre, that it’s just normal for entire swathes of the bureaucratic arm of any stable government to just up and leave every 4-8 years.
Given how hyperoxygenated the right wing has been about Benghazi, is this really a surprise? I’m actually shocked that Trump didn’t get around to firing people on his own. Gee, I wonder if it was mentioned on the mouthpiece site Breitbart…
—nope, but apparently, they’re mad at Aziz Ansari and selling Breitbart Wall Construction t-shirts. Good to know.
These high level government people can go and work on contract basis for any number of companies and make a lot of income. I don’t think any of them are worried about their bank accounts.
Trump’s ad for replacements: Wanted. Sycophantic Buffoons. Must have extensive experience in bootlicking and buffoonery.
You beat me to the sycophant bozo (for me, buffoon) deal. We must be on the same sickening wavelength…
Given Trumps stance and moratorium on hiring federal workers I guess he will have to do without a State Department staff.
We call that “Efficiency” on the right.
Well, if that’s the way you want it, just wait!
Maybe the newly isolationist WH doesn’t need a state dept at all. They could save money by closing all those embassies and firing the ambassadors too.
Put the money towards building walls on the north, east and west, too. Maybe a roof.
