The Fall of Roe v Wade & the Insidious Fascist Plot to Make All Women into Mere Broodmares

A 100% completely predictable outcome. Some of those fatal abnormalities can result in a live birth wherein the infant lives a couple excruciating hours before death. Well done, “pro-life” zealots, you’ve traded medical decisions for death of actual infants. [slowclap]

“Remote dispensing of abortion drugs by mail, common carrier, and interactive computer service is depressing expected birth rates for teenaged mothers in Plaintiff States,” the attorneys allege in the complaint, which was filed before forced birth enthusiast Judge Matt Kacsmaryk in the Northern District of Texas’s Amarillo Division. They claim that decreased births constitute “a sovereign injury to the state in itself,” and causes downstream injuries like “losing a seat in Congress or qualifying for less federal funding if their populations are reduced.” In other words, uteri are state slush funds, and girls owe the state reproduction once they are capable of it.

What the fuck is wrong with these people?

I heard about this on NPR this afternoon. Crazy story.

There is clearly no real legal basis for this (not to mention DeSantis seems to be using state $ on this personal political vendetta…)

The letter signed and sent out by Wilson claimed that the ad, created by the Yes On 4 campaign, violated the state’s so-called “sanitary nuisance” law. The claim is a stretch because the sanitary nuisance law is meant to curb conditions that can threaten or impair Floridians’ health, normally reserved for issues such as overflowing septic tanks.

Fortunately, the judge isn’t buying it

"To keep it simple for the State of Florida: it’s the First Amendment, stupid,” the judge wrote in the order.

The NPR story said the amendment is polling 50-50 and DeSatan is trying to shut down the ad because it’s so persuasive, & it’s still airing almost everywhere. C’mon, Florida, you can do it! :muscle:

To all the young US folks out there, learn where the larger cities are on a map. Use the interstate freeway system as much as you can to get around. Once you know the general location of the larger cities in relation to where you are trying to go, you’ll understand that you can get across the US without your cell phone. Turn it completely off, remove the SIM card if you can. Also, “visitor welcome center” rest areas you find when crossing state lines typically have state maps that you can have for free. Make use of that resource.

Having a legit reason to visit the city is best. Then the phone can be forgotten at the hotel (or home of a friend or supportive relative who won’t ask questions) a few times. Library computers with TOR are good, as are untraceable throw away emails.
I hope these plans won’t be needed much longer. Vote blue, all the way.
