It actually has the reverse effect for others and this effect will grow. The more regular news gets labeled as fake news by Trump, the more believable it will become. The clickbait websites will catch on and generate a new pattern for their listicles that starts with, “You won’t believe what Trump is calling fake news” and it will not only generate curious clicks but actual belief, whether it’s real or fake or taken out of context or misquoted or whatever.

If it does happen, the press should say “The Republican government is unable to get anything done” or “The Republican government is currently at a standstill”. Hammer home that it is TGOP in charge.
