I think Russia Today was playing the Swedish “rape refugee news” a lot in the last year. They were down on Islamic refugees in general, which is odd for a country with large Muslim populations.

I don’t mind Maher so much; but I do agree that his stances on Islam, Transpeople and Women’s Rights are very skewed; he can’t seem to get past his own ‘person of privilege’ status to see it.

Nevertheless, seeing anyone put that smug hate-mongering douche in his place is awesome to witness; coming from Larry Wilmore, it was a thing of beauty.

There is substantial reason to believe that Putin staged an apartment bombing and blamed it on muslims in order to kickstart his presidency. I first heard about this “conspiracy theory” on an episode of Frontline where they basically said yep, he totally did it.
