If Trump gets removed from office and resists while Pence is still VP, I think he’d be happy to “persuade” Trump to leave (at gunpoint, if necessary.)

nah, you did that for your own self, no thanks. I do consider the folks whose best intentions were abused to be heroes. Not proscriptively or naively either, thanks again. Lets agree to disagree, but let us also not put words into each others mouths, to do so. It’s a lot simpler to just not agree then to make pretend, too.

what i said is a shorthand way of saying i disagree with you; correcting for the troubling trend of lionizing military and police personnel simply because they choose to sign up.
people in public and volunteer service deserve respect. without doubt. and, that should be enough. heoric hyperbole is not necessary, and should be saved for for individuals who actually do go above and beyond.
our doctors, our nurses, our teachers, and the truly unsung who work to reign in america’s hegemonic tendencies.
giving too much credit to the military throws everyone who has ever sought for peace and justice under the bus.
