Is the answer, “Like a narcissist?”

That sounds like it sound be some sort of a canine social movement.

To be fair, that’s the answer without the dog too.

update: play time with a dog would take away from his golf time - we just learned HE INSTALLED A GOLF SIMULATOR in the White House - and that explains the dozens of hours a week of “executive time”, seriously!

I don’t feel like this is a thing that is going on. I don’t have a dog and I don’t want one. I don’t feel that I’m in any way in danger of being lumped in with Trump when I say that.

Trump didn’t have a dog before the campaign, during the campaign or during the first two years of his presidency. No one mentioned it or tried to use it against him.

But then he stood up and used a lie that he’d like to have a dog to try to cover up his more important lie that he works hard, which reminded people of how often he uses “dog” as an insult or uses turns of phrase that suggest he associates being cruel with dogs (die like a dog, choke like a dog).
