It must be pretty weird to know eventually you are going to be Mussolini-ed

You know that he really wants to have protestors shot on the WH lawn but, Secret Service probably said “Hey, lets just put up some more fences shall we?”

Let’s see…

Plenty of tall fences that could be topped with razor wire in the future.

Surrounded by a ton of angry people who don’t like him.

Has to be escorted everywhere and really can’t go out to do much.

A bunch of federal prison guards watching everything.

Hundreds of cameras watching his every move outside.

“Lights out” at 11 pm.

I know just the right thing to top off his experiences the past week at the White House.

“If I have to expense another one of those goddamn golf carts again…”

I wonder if Mexico paid for it…

(Edit: Less jokingly, how long do you think it’ll be before there are PMCs stationed around the Whitehouse on taxpayer dime?)

A visible insult to one of the most effective guard labour forces out there – one that exists largely to protect you. You’ve done it again, Biff!

Given that the Secret Service are – in general – hardcore Trump fans, it’s indicative of his personality that the ones who have to deal with him in a one-on-one basis may be giving off a vibe that they aren’t entirely and enthusiastically happy with their current work. That while they perhaps love the idea of Trump, they aren’t too keen on the person.

But also keep in mind that Trump has been trying for almost four years now for a military spectacle. If he can’t have his parades, he’ll settle for a goon squad.

Didn’t he just say?

“The Governor of Michigan should give a little, and put out the fire. These are very good people, but they are angry. They want their lives back again, safely! See them, talk to them, make a deal.”

Careful.

Well I guess he got his wall. It says something very bad about the health of a democracy when the President needs to add additional fortifications.

Spectacle indeed.

But also Uh Oh, because this does not bode well.

Anybody want to work up an Airforce One/Beastie Boys cover for that?

OMFG. You just gave me nightmare fodder:

Executive order to carve Trump’s bust into Rushmore. But they have to plant vines on top to comb over the top of the head.

Yeah. The mocking part of me wants to say that even Ronnie Raygun didn’t put up this many barricades and guards even when somebody shot him and this is the sign of a truly terrifed little man, but I also know what happens when cult leaders start losing their power and the cult begins to come apart.

This is very bad.

Well if you look at the Roman Empire, thirteen times the assassination of an Emperor was done by his own Praetorian guard. Caligula is a prime example.

I wonder if anyone in the S.S. is thinking to themselves, “You know, we are the last defense of the U.S. Constitution against a tyrannical demagouge.”

Or “darkest before the dawn?” I think it is a given that he will not go quietly. At all. And will attempt to take down as many as possible if he does go. This is not endgame at all, but getting dark and scary for sure.
