Trump doesn't trust Secret Service to keep him safe

Just in time for the soft re-opening of the NJ economy, which includes golf courses.

Unlike Ivanka’s little trip down there for Passover, this time its not breaking state law.

Being rescued by Putin’s spetsnaz forces in gliders, then re-installed as premier of a rump United States will be a high point for him, before his inevitable downfall.

Archer had an episode where he found out the Swiss Guards carry submachine guns when on actual guard duty.

Trump predicts he can win 95 percent of the black vote

Win? Or suppress? Which for him – and the GOP – would count as a win.

I know several secret service agents. You are correct that there was and probably still are many Trump fans there. But it has been on a downward slope for some time. The abandonment of the Kurds was a big deal to a lot of them who are x military. In addition, the amount of respect that General Mattis has within the military can’t be overstated. While to us in civilian life his recent statement is way late and totally obvious, for those in the military and by extension secret service, I think it it was well timed and will have quite an impact (not to call them slow, but they just have a much different perspective on things).

We should build one of these around the White House. We already have the builders on contract.

No doorway.

Needs some kind of roof as well to contain helicopters.

So… about 40 mi east of NYC, where there aren’t any protests happening? Hmm…

Quite right. The Secret Service will shoot people if they breach the fence – an extra temporary fence seems prudent.

of course the workers building the temporary fence will need a fence.

It’s kind of an interesting thought experiment (performed in many a pulp thriller novel) to think about how you might breach the White House’s defenses with murder on your mind. Its known defenses, I should say. Which start about a thousand miles out, in order to keep you from just launching a squadron of bombers from your volcano lair.

A sufficiently large mob of (essentially) unarmed citizens could overwhelm the defenses and force the gunners on the roof to use up all their crates of ammunition. (At a certain point the strongest barrier left would be the mountain of bodies that subsequent waves would have to crawl over.) But by the time anyone was taking an axe to the bulletproof glass, the POTUS would be in a different time zone.

But yeah, another layer of chain-link oughta do it.

I wonder if SS members are vetted for possible ‘disgruntlement’ such as losing a close relative to COVID. If Mom died because the Boss fucked up, the Boss may have reason to be nervous.

I don’t mind that he’s locking himself up, it’s just that there are so many existing facilities for that.

I’m assuming it was a typo - it’s demagogue, but given the definition of ‘gouge’, I’m relaxed about the aptness of this new term in the context of Donnie the well-known gouger.
