They were engaged to be married, but he died of cardiac arrest before they could make it official.
Call me evil, but IMO the man dodged a bullet by dying prematurely.
(I knew her back in college, and suffice it to say I REALLY don’t like that woman.)

Yup, my thought precisely. There’s no way she’s been there this long and not heard ample blatant racist remarks from both Turnip and his other cronies. Hell, I wouldn’t put it past her to have made some of them.

He was a really good actor and seemed like a good guy from all the interviews I’d seen; I could never fathom what the attraction was to such an unpleasant person as Omarosa freakin’ Onee.

It’s not just mere self-hatred, though; that person has had a mile-wide streak of craven opportunism ever since I first encountered her - so I was completely unsurprised by either her various stints on ‘reality’ tv or her association with 45’s admin.
Totally. While he’s an obviously hyperbolic caricature, Ruckus is based on a very real and tragic archetype.

Here’s one such example. A notable gamer, streamer and content creator JonTron spouted a ton of racist, anti-immigration white nationalist talking points during an interview. Has never apologized for what he said, just merely how he said it. Judging by his real name his parents or grandparents are immigrants from the middle east so his views are pretty baffling.
I liked the content from the channel he was part of but never subscribed to it. Glad i never actively followed or supported his content.

There are some people who will feed their own baby to wolves if it gets them what they want. 
The heart wants what it wants… or perhaps she was super manipulative. I dunno. I had an acquaintance commit suicide not long ago and I really never liked his wife. He was one of the most genuinely nice people I’ve known, and she is one of the most shallow, spiteful people I know. Yet… they seemed to match each other well.

Especially if one thinks one is a exemplar of the “correct” way to be a member of that group. Bill Cosby was like that for a long time, which should tell us something about this type of loudmouth.
Opportunism definitely plays a part, even if it’s the pathetic delusion that they and their sub-group will somehow be spared the depredations visited on the larger group by a hostile society. The kapos who handwave away the obvious anti-Semitism of Il Douche and his supporters (like Moore’s wife) are another example of this phenomenon.

Pretty sure she majored in “Communications” which was considered a frivolous discipline for vapid people among most of the student body at the time.

Funny thing about CSU; Cosby held an honorary degree there, and the communications center was actually named for him while I was a student (they officially renamed it in 2015 after the scandal.)
IIRC, he came to speak on campus more than once, so I got to hear his condescending ‘pull up your pants’ prattle firsthand; lucky me.
You seem to be missing the point of my anecdotes, dear.
She’s a toxic person with a terrible attitude who’s difficult to work with and also loves to cause drama; all that only flies when you already have gobs of money combined with ‘the right complexion.’
It’s possible that she may get a job as a token Black talking head on Fox News for a hot second, but that will probably only last until she pisses the wrong person off.

That is such a vague thing.
OTOH, my Media and Communications degree is coming in more and more helpful these days. Not career-wise, but knowing the fucked-upedness of media and how easy it is to hide real, heavy bias if people don’t know what to look for… that is helpful.

Word is that Kelly did the firing and she was escorted out (not sure “dragged off the premises” as some are saying isn’t more for dramatic purposes).That seems likely.
