Never let it be said that the good folks over at The New Yorker weren’t prepared. Minutes after the announcement that Donald Trump had been found guilty on all 34 felony counts in his Manhattan criminal case, the venerated magazine published a sneak-peak at the cover of next week’s issue: a cartoon of the former president being clapped in handcuffs much too large for his comically tiny hands. The title? “A Man of Conviction."
[Trump to a MAGA Rally] Listen, listen… and I know you’re going to be shocked when you hear this, but there are liberal judges in this country - the worst judges, corrupt, not appointed by me - that are letting convicted felons, scum, walk free for a bit of volunteer work. I have seen it happen first hand, it’s unbelievable…
I’m amused by all these news channels that prepared custom graphics and counters to track each verdict, then it came out 34-0. All that work for nothing.
