Trump on racists being inspired by his tweets: 'It doesn't concern me because many people agree with me'

Has the time come to burn ostracize local GOP offices?

Not even sarcasm really. That’s just what he boils down to.

Just remember, he wants us to talk about this so that we don’t talk about how

Trump is a child molester just like his good friend Epstein

Spouting racist bullshit is just shit designed to make us clutch our pearls and forget that

Trump is beholden to the Russian mob and broke the law

Really, he has to dig this deep, act this outrageous, also because it makes “mainstream” Republicans abase themselves even further trying to defend the indefensible.

That’s the basis. Tramp can’t release his financials because proof of ownership by Putin. Tramp will launch nukes before releasing details. Yes, we ARE approaching the End Times.

Did the post on media not calling it Racist disappear or are there just get buried?

I noticed May and Trudeau both reacted negatively. May went for “completely unacceptable “ and poor Justin who has to deal with Trump still was less direct.

I would just like to wake up some newspaper doing their extra large headline font with something like “Racist Misogynist ■■■■■ Orange Turd still in White House.”

Trump replied, “It doesn’t concern me because many racists agree with me.”

Yeah. That he was elected surprised me, but the prevalence of racism in the U.S. certainly doesn’t. This is the same as its always been

The Trump voters in my extended family invariably respond the same when the facts of Trump’s awfulness are inconveniently pointed out to them. “They hadn’t heard these things.” “They don’t know that.” That its willful ignorance somehow never sinks in

Thanks for sharing this.

They missed their window to be part of a coalition in, oh, about 2016.

And it’s in the long-term interest of every human on the planet to halt and reverse the effects of climate change. That’s only going to happen with green/progressive policies.

Too late.

And the good thing is, Democrats don’t need them. They only need to inspire people and get out the vote.

They’d better be a lot more inspiring than Pelosi and Biden, or this country is well and truly screwed.

Well, now you know. What are you going to do?

Too late from our perspective. The thing that galls me about this article is that, Trump’s presidency is seen as “kind of” tarnishing conservatism. Like, it’s a black eye or an embarrassing cousin. In fact, a second term isn’t even a guarantee of destroying conservatism, a second term “may well” tarnish conservatism. So like, maybe it will, maybe it won’t. Never-Trumpers might be clutching their pearls, I guess, but they sure don’t seem all that worried about anything other than “maybe” getting a “tarnished reputation” for an election cycle or two.

I mean, if they’re asking progressives and Democrats to swing back to center-right-neoliberal-business-as-usual politics, they sure don’t seem all that worried about the future of their party.

They have no reason to be worried in the near or medium term, any more than they do about changing voter demographics. Their unofficial motto is “if we can’t win, cheat”. They know that voter disenfranchisement, gerrymandering, and Citizens United will all survive challenges in courts stacked with GOP-friendly judges.

He’s also pulling out the old chestnut of debating getting rid of a cabinet member (Wilbur Ross), after his “defeat” on the census question. This is classic forced reality show drama designed to increase ratings, and as you say distract from the more important stories that:

Trump is a child molester just like his good friend Epstein

and that

Trump is beholden to the Russian mob and broke the law

No, he has no tactical strategy here beyond seeing a fight (in this case, the internecine Twitter fight between Pelosi boosters and The Squad) and wanting to throw a punch of his own because he’s a shitty bully. Except he can’t do anything without it being astoundingly stupid, racist, or both. It’s hard to call anything he does “a distraction” when basically every single thing he does is steeped in bigotry, hatred, corruption, or stupidity. It’s just a never-ending stream of shit.

Meanwhile, sitting members of the US Senate have decided to get on board the most recent departure of Trump’s bigot express.

A year ago, their go-to response was always to shuffle their feet, look askance, and mumble something about not having read the tweets or not knowing the full context of his remarks. Now they’re offering their full-throated support behind him.

Where will they be in another year?

Not all drugs are molecules you take. Do you think it’s any coincidence that a coalition of people who prefer psychic highs (smug evangelicals, militant xenophobes, rumor mills, peeping toms, and tattletales) are so pumped up for Tromp? He’s off-gassing the very supply that gives them the highest highs: contempt for those lesser than them.
