Whether or not it’s polite to acknowledge, basic training employs highly refined and well-known brainwashing techniques.
The whole point is to “break a man down and rebuild him as a soldier”.

That’s true, but I guess then one needs to clarify as to what one means by “brainwashed and loyal to organization.” As I said their unity of Brotherhood is especially strong. And I imagine their training makes the work well as a unit. But past that, in the real world, I don’t think they or any other military members are loyal to any political party nor really the government than the average person (on average). They are probably overly loyal to the Nation, but some of the most critical people of the government I know are Marines and former military.
