I don’t understand why the NYT is dumping these stories on Friday night instead of at a time when they’d get some traction. Looks an awful lot like they’re trying to bury it.

I wonder if we’ll ever find out all the corrupt shit Trump has done while in office, much less all his hangers on and minions. So many felonies. The investigations will take years, assuming anyone gets serious about it.
I’m at the point where whenever Trump denies something, I assume it’s almost certainly true, and whenever he accuses someone else, it must be true about himself. So I’ve been wondering for a while, “What’s Trump’s corrupt deal with China?” I’m still curious about the details… I assume they’re about as damning as it all appears. (But knowing Trump, it’s probably even worse.)
My immediate response to your comment was: “But this news has been out for a couple of days!” Which is weird because I didn’t even question your assertion that it was Friday, despite actually knowing (for once) what day it was, and it was only this morning that I first read the breaking story. Ha, ha, jokes on me - I have become completely and utterly disconnected from all semblance of even the vaguest notion of the passage of time. 2020 - it’s lasted at least 10 years and the next few months will last at least another 10, but it will also feel like no time at all. I’m pretty sure we have transcended space and time and now inhabit an HP Lovecraft story.

Seems to be quite simple. They can buy a friendly policy behind all the hawkish anti-China huffing and puffing. In any case, Trump is making the US weaker and China is benefitting.
