He says he’s still President, that he’s going to be reinstated as president, and that he’s going to run for president again. He’s just saying this stuff to fuel outrage and keep himself on the radar because it keeps the cash flow going. The minute he says otherwise, the spigot goes dry.

Also, if he’s NOT running, his fans have less incentive to give him money. So, if “running for office” gets him more donations, he “running for office”, though it’s unclear if he’s willing to do any work to have that happen.

Genetics have some sway, but they aren’t everything.
My mother died in 2015, after years of ignoring her doctors’ suggestions, smoking, and generally not taking good care of herself. She was 66 years old. Her mother is still alive today, at the age of 93.
Trump clearly isn’t taking good care of himself, plus there’s the aftereffects of covid to consider… I wouldn’t bet on genetics winning that battle.

How, though? If he does run (and I’m firmly in the “this is all part of the fundraising scam” camp) I doubt any (R) would run against him.
On the bright side, he could become the only person to have the fewest votes of the two major-party candidates in 3 straight elections.

It did seem like a long fuckin’ time though. Saturday night (tho I was quite drunk), I was wracking my brains thinking who was preznit between Obama and Trump, cos I knew Trump was only one term, but Obama was aaaages ago, in the before times, before it got so weird. So there must have been another guy, right? Imagine my surprise.
