It’s important to understand what is going on here. This is wholly anticipatory of the Mueller Report hitting, and soon, from what I am hearing (before end of November, maybe?)
It is going to be very, very damning, I would imagine. It is going to be reported on heavily. He needs to get his mindless base primed, for what they are about the start hearing left and right.
This might actually be a good sign, in a way. He is getting very, very concerned for his own future.
They aren’t voting for right leaning Democrats now, so it’s at least worth a try.
Is that a real difference or a percieved difference that amounts to nothing? I have lived paycheck-to-paycheck and the right wing does nothing to help, actually they are worse than nothing. The third way politicians are slightly better, but I expect a higher standard than slightly better than complete shit.
The real question is are your Republican voting relatives ever going to vote for Democrats who aren’t Dixiecrats? If they will vote for Trump again then I would guess no.
Congratulations! You have cut through the mind miasma that seems to have baffled millions. It’s really just that simple. I describe myself as a single issue voter: SCOTUS. I would vote for Satan himself if there was a reasonable chance he would put justices that represent my views on the court. This is where all the Hillary bashers took their eyes off the ball, and we’re fucked. And I’m voting for Menendez, even though he’s a corrupt scumbag, because he’s OUR corrupt scumbag. The times I haven’t had to hold my nose while voting have been few, I have no patience for people who demand candidates they adore or they stay home.
Elitism tends to foster its own collapse, either by declining birthrates because they’re always concerned about maintaining the purity of the bloodlines or by sheer attrition. Families fall from grace and must mingle with the commoners but take their knowledge with them. We see it playing out even now: “Do you support Dear Leader enough, citizen?” the Republicans and MAGAs ask each other.
There are Democratic candidates who take that vote for granted, and then pull on Republican camo to try to fool Republican voters. Maybe they take a slice of those, but most vote for the real thing. And meanwhile the poor shrug and stay home.
“What should be our base never gets out and votes. We’ll just have to try harder to imitate the Republicans next time.”
