One way to solve that is to set up a monthly deduction from a credit/debit card or checking account. Even a small monthly donation amount adds up over time while being relatively painless for the payer, and gives those organizations some financial continuity.

The WSJ has very good editorial content on business and the markets. The political coverage has been consistently pushed to the right since Murdoch bought it. The op-ed section was a right-wing looney bin long before the Newscorp acquisition and remains so today. Unless you’re paying only for the daily business “news you can use” they don’t deserve your money.
