Back it up, people. WWII veterans are on the verge of extinction. America has a huge fascination with the military. The VA has been mistreating veterans. Vets are routinely discriminated against. Do you want to oppose this? Terrible PR for the Alt-Left.

Tax breaks are nice and everything, but if we really want the billionaire class to start creating jobs, we need to start looking after their personal, and not just financial needs. Fifteen minutes and a couple dabs of hand moisturizer are all it takes to get most employers in the mood to seed some capital, but sometimes the big boss needs a military parade before he’s* ready to do big things.
*Now that Trump is president we can stop pretending that women can be the bosses of things.

Thirty million, if spent on Iraq or Aphganistan instead, would last how long? Ten minutes? Think of it this way, if that personell and munitions are being marched around the square, at least they’re not out someplace else hurting someone!

That’s 10-30 less Tomahawks that the US can shoot at the rest of the world, or about 1-3 less tanks, or one third of an F-35, or maybe one F-16.
So from the point of view of those of us outside the US, sounds fine.

The US military is already killing people across the world, because that’s what the US military does.
There are several hotspots that are being vigorously fed by by the Trumpists. Eventually, one of them is going to blow.
So: what are you going to do to stop that? Once the killing accelerates yet again, what are you going to do?

A military parade is not respect for vets. Respect for vets is making sure they and their families are cared for adequately.
Trump doesn’t respect vets, he fetishizes war. He uses vets as political props as the men and women who serve or have served are cut off from necessary care for them and their families. How about our soldiers and vets get fair wages for their labor instead of spending millions on a parade when we’re still in the middle of fighting a war?
