I can only parse their affected concern for any fetus as only a pretext for increased command and control over the mother’s body. This to me explains why once the child is born, it then deserves no consideration other than what a drain it would be on any social assistance and the potential profit its life and/or death may provide to the for profit health care industry.

I think it’s basically Carlson’s Libertarianism expressing itself. The GOP is this weird mix now of quasi-anarchists and religious nuts, if the left ceased to exist they would be fighting it out among themselves, “morals” vs. “freedom.”

Yeah, and we all see that commitment to marriage is taken oh so seriously in this country. I would imagine there’s no feeling like being divorced at 16 because your husband found someone younger.

The network will give him a walk provided the sponsors stick around. Remember that accusations against O’Reilly, including recordings of harassing phone calls were out there for a decade before they did anything. It wasn’t till sponsors started running for the hills that they cracked down on anyone.
But the level of obsession with underaged sex in these comments, it keeps coming up over and over, is pretty familiar. This guy has a hard drive full of child porn. Fox probably doesn’t give a shit. But the authorities who cover that kind of shit are gonna take notice, so he’s most definitely gonna be on some ones radar.
