Reminds me of when i was forced to take a GCSE in a foreign language when i was still at school.

I got every grade from A to F in the end, i was great at sciences and utterly terrible at languages (i somehow scraped a D grade in my native English language by some miracle) The ‘F’ was the mandatory foreign language.

Still annoys me that i was forced to take that when there were other subjects i had much interest in that i couldn’t take due to this mandatory class :frowning:

Similar. I could have done triple science if I’d not had to do French.

TBF, if I’d known at the time that I could give less than 100% on a subject I was totally uninterested in, I might have left with a healthier mind.

I took triple sciences (and would of by any means nescesary anyways) but amusingly, my prime reason was it swapped a PE lesson for science. Swapping my worst subject for my favourite :slight_smile:

This is why all MPs should be banned from having private health insurance. If you are in charge of funding and policy for the NHS, you should have to use the same service as everyone else.

Not sure if this can be counted as political. (well, yeah, it can).

Just sat through ‘countryfile’ on the beeb. Landed ‘gentry’ complaining that they only have 17,000 birds to shoot this year as opposed to the usual 35,000. “We charge £1,650 for a days shoot”. Blaming bird-flu, and anything else they can think of.

Quick headline: ‘Rich people in slightly less rich this year shock’.

I love the (TV) Boys, comic less so. The joke wore out real quick. But Billy isn’t exactly a “good” guy really is he? At best he might be a necessary evil. Which makes me think of Hannah Arendt…
