Unmasked shopper asserts constitutional right to sit on the floor in Costco

Disease was also often attributed to demonic possession – although demonic possession must be possible as it is mentioned in Scripture,[5] it is a rare occurrence, and almost all disease attributed to it was a result of other causes.

Four score and seven years ago, our forefathers founded a nation of fucking toddlers. Inconceivably entitled and irrationally set in their ways, to their own detriment and the detriment of their neighbors.

Now we are engaged in a great war, against an enemy that we cannot see, and so, we must assume does not exist, though it kills us in great numbers. We will stick our heads in the sand, ignore our history and attack our fellow man with great fervor and vengeance; defending imaginary self-freedoms that ignore the rights of all around us.

But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicate—we can not consecrate—we can not hallow—this Costco, this Appleby’s, this Target. The hypocrisy and idiocy is too great. The world notes how far we have fallen and I say to you, the people of the United States of America, that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of tyranny—and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall soon perish from the earth (except in Europe and Canada…maybe).

Did she get arrested?

Considering how US police works, she would probably need to have darker skin for that.

I’m not even American. Even I know that the pre-amble starts with “We the People”
Not “I the individual”.
The constitution is for the protection of the people of America as a whole. It is right there that the people should be protected by the individuals that wish to cause them harm.
So… Technically, isn’t what she doing unconstitutional? (Again, not American. Not a lawyer. But also annoyed at the bloody idiots)

Hello,

One hopes that Costco refunded the unused portion of her membership and permanently banned her from re-joining in the future.

Even THEY know that Drumpf isn’t any good at government. Unfortunately, they consider that a feature, not a bug.

viruses.

If you insist on a Latin plural it would be vira but that is really a modern form that isn’t attested since Latin vīrus was only used in the singular.

It’s a second declension neuter noun and as such would have an -a ending in the nominative.

Sigh. Yeah. They haven’t overtly framed it as a conservative position there, but I’m sure plenty of other people have… Germ theory also (sometimes accidentally) gets snagged by the “evolution (and therefore the entire field of biology) is a liberal lie” wing of Christian conservatism.

Apparently you are indeed correct. Edited.

The Onion is painfully right, once again. (This is from 2009, yet it’s an evergreen one.)

That was my original!

I changed from “My” to “This” to further remove any reference to me. 'Cause it’s not about me.
