Oh yeah, I didn’t mean to imply that misogyny wasn’t the motivation for an awful lot of anti-Hillary people; rather, I wanted to note that there are many ways for people to be bad and stupid. And of course, there’s going to be an extensive overlap between the misogynists and the contrarians…

I was furious while watching the Watergate Hearings when I was 7-8 years old, and paid close attention to politics while growing up. I kept up with the rest of the world by watching Canadian news, too! (Windsor, Ontario’s local channel comes in well across the Detroit River.) Political news’ easy availability online added more fuel to my continually raging fire. As politicians became more crap, and their “policies” became crappier, I got madder.
It’s damn near impossible not to be absolutely livid re: all this bullshit when you’re an empathic woman who’s politically aware.

I was never “conservative”, but I’ve absolutely moved left of where I was in my youth. Back then I was a bit wary of socialism, now I’m all “bring it on, dammit!”
