DeSantis also seems to forget that his nemesis also owns a broadcast TV network with a news organization, as well as ESPN. They decide which shows they want to produce and where, can put together sporting events that are coincidentally held in other states, run news documentaries about the shady politicians Ron calls friends, etc. There are a lot of cultural levers and business relationships they can put into play.
I have delivered to the central Florida men’s and women’s state prisons in the 90s. They had their shit locked down tight at the time. Still, there’s a reason they’re rural.
More than one reason: prison gerrymandering.
