I blame those who drew up the district maps; they made it possible for this obviously unqualified dingbat to win.
Granted, those who voted for her elected one of their own, but she won by a horrific margin that is pretty fragrant of malarkey…

This is the thing that really irks me. They’ve been telling us EXACTLY what they’re going to do , how they’re going to do it, why they’re going to do it, and gave us step by step instructions on how they’d win, and so many people on the left were like, “No, they’re just saying that … they won’t really… it’s just to win the election, but they won’t…”

These assholes have been telling us exactly what they’re going to do for decades, and now they’ve done it, and we STILL have idiots on the left who somehow think it’s some kind of ruse.

It should also be pointed out that Greene’s Democratic opponent wound up withdrawing from the race, after the point where the party could have nominated a replacement. It’s still a travesty that she got elected at all, but it might have been different if she’d had more competition.

And just to further point out, he dropped out due to the continual threats his family was receiving, including those aimed at his wife and kids. Because the cult of QAnon has no restrictions on the violence it will direct your way. We really need a federal police force tasked with investigating and punishing those who make online threats. There’s a vast difference between saying mean things (“You’re a commie dingbat!”) and wishing them harm (“insert death threat here, because I’m not going to write one even in jest”).

I think it’s dangerous to believe people like her are insincere. If you think she’s just doing it for clickbait, it’s easy to dismiss her. The last person everyone thought that about got elected president.

Peoples’ motivations for saying and doing horrible things never matter in the end.

What politics? She doesn’t put forth any policies (much like her party). She just semi-randomly spews hate and bile. You can’t debate that. Ridicule is often the best option.

Insert why not both gif

Which we’re no longer using.

Edit:

Marge has a Bachelors Degree. It’s not lack of opportunity that caused her ignorance and awfulness.

It’s not my district, I have no power to vote her useless* ass out, so I feel rather free to disparage the mind-bendingly stupid things she says.

*She was removed from all committee assignments after censure for harassing “The squad”. She’s literally drawing a paycheck from We, The People and doing zero work.

And even if we did attack the purported politics of their party, it’s not enough by itself. We saw that here in Maine with Collins’ last election. A huge swath of the population simply don’t care that she hadn’t followed through on her promises and in some ways had made life harder for them (not addressing prescription drug prices, for one). She has an R next to her name.
Plus, given how much the right cried about, “we’re being laughed at! Other countries are laughing at us!” during Obama’s presidency, (narrator: we weren’t) seems that laughing at them is a good part of the overall strategy.
So, yeah, why not both?

Yes we should ridicule poorly educated privileged politicians who waste their elected position on harassing people, threatening violence, openly corrupt behavior and spreading bigotry

Poorly educated, because they’re lazy and don’t respect authority (teachers). Apparently neither did their parents, so they were not disciplined to pay attention and do the work.

Also, that’s the party that has been actively eviscerating public education for a half century, specifically to create poorly educated citizens who are thus much easier to manipulate. To the point where some will even come online and try to argue support for such know-nothings.

Oh, I think her motivations are ugly. It’s just that when she doesn’t have a substantial thing to say, she says whatever will get the “base” riled up and if she can get the opposition talking about her, even in a negative context, that’s okay too. They aren’t going to vote for her, no matter what she says at this point. But if her base can jump to her defense, that links them to her and her to them.

That is what her mentor did. Politicians keep their name in the headlines so they can get the other stuff they want done. While everyone is talking about the latest gaffe, they are pushing through policy that would otherwise get the news.

Yes, much better for a healthy republic if we further normalise the current situation of poorly educated (but perhaps expensively credentialed) and poorly informed politicians being elected by voters who identify with and relate to those characteristics. It’s been working so well. Your concern is noted. (/s, because who says I have no sympathy for the poorly informed).

Also, an ad hominem argument would attack the person on the basis of her being poorly educated or intellectually challenged. This article is just pointing to yet more evidence in her own words that she is either or both.

I’m gonna say it…

She likely cheated her way through school, because cheating her way through life didn’t come without practice.

Better that than the lynchings that such fascists gleefully plan for the rest of us.

Unfuck MTG and unfuck anyone who defends her.

Fascists cannot stand being laughed at. It makes them less frightening and intimidating, which is their whole game. If they are the butt of the joke, they are much less likely to win. Poking fun at Nazis is a strategy that works.

This was the GW Bush playbook with “nook-u-lar”. All of the people correcting him only looked like elitist assholes to “real America” (i.e., the part of the US that’s leaning into Idiocracy).
