So you see, you don’t actually need to kill the fat man to save the school bus full of children, just shove him around a bit.
“I rolled to the side and I think that is what saved me.”
Roger That!
BTW, type “do a barrel roll” into Google.
Moments after the crash, the shoeless driver emerged from the car to see what had happened. She then tried to get back in her SUV, but an off-duty cop who was working out at the gym stepped in. She reportedly told police her brakes failed. When cops arrived on the scene she was not taken into custody and was not charged.
“She didn’t really seem fully coherent about what happened,” the gym manager told Inside Edition. “She didn’t really have a grasp of someone who was hurt.”
Weird. Because she was driving a Mercedes?
I feel like there’s a math problem in here somewhere. If the man traveling five miles per hour on a treadmill meets an SUV traveling 20 miles per hour . . .
Oh, also, SERPENTINE!
right?
Of course he was checking his phone… but maybe that’s what saved him too???
No arrest
No charges
No sobriety test
No questions asked.
I gotta get me a Mercedes!
The video shows otherwise. He fell off after the car and treadmill stopped moving.
High Impact Interval Training
If he were hard core he’d plug that treadmill back in and keep going.
Also sounds like a car hitting a bicycle
Very LA. We make your treadmill runs just like real ones. You always have to watch out for cars that might hit you. On other occasions, we’ll randomly release a vicious dog into the gym to snap at your heels. All to get your heartrate up.
As someone who appreciates the feel of the pedal when gripped between the toes of my bare foot, I take offense (a very mild offense, granted) that the post is categorized under “shoeless driving”. Don’t pigeon hole us!
The tactile sensation of driving while barefoot is fantastic, and it’s been at least a year, maybe two, since I last drove into a storefront.
The In-Laws is a great movie.
I give it a day before Facebook collectively decides its the fault of anyone in the room using an exercise bike.
They sure have a lot of camera views for a gym. Security, allows trainers to monitor, or what?
eta: Research!
The “brakes failed?”
It sure looks like the vehicle accelerates after the initial impact.
CrossFit, workout of the day.
Unfortunately so was the driver.
