Can you really get too high? I guess so, but the only times I experienced anything approaching it, it was not long before I was fast asleep. Seemed to solve the problem.

They only times I have ever been too high was from too many edibles. I have always just called it a day and gone to bed. I doubt I would have been interested in listening to Church Lady.

For a moment I thought she was petting a loaf of bread at the end. And I’m not even that high right now.

She’s got all kinds of great advice:

i’m pretty square these days, but once i googled “what to do if you get too high” and basically step one was “don’t google what to do when you get too high” and i just couldn’t stop laughing

“You’re real.”
Shit, that’s exactly what I was afraid of!

“You’re not going to die of over-hydration.”
Well, people do. You’re certainly a lot more likely to die of that than being stoned. Or even of dehydration.

Sniff pepper… call a friend…

Wait a minute - is this actually deliberately bad advice?

I spent my high school years up in smoke… you can definitely get too high. Not sure if it was a weedbrain placebo but vitamin c saved my butt once.

Not sure what “too high” really means, but I almost always got what I consider “too paranoid”. This phase came on after many years (as a teen and young adult) very much enjoying being high. Anyway, the problem got to be a pain in the ass enough that I gave the stuff up entirely. I’ve since tried edibles bought at a legal dispensary thinking things might be different, but I ended up right back at “too high”.

Pork always helped when I got too high, and a plate of pork fried rice saved my oldest friend from a really bad trip w/o bringing her too far down.

The French top appeals court just threw out prosecution of a terrible hate crime on the grounds that the murderer was too high to be responsible for his actions.

yeah, overhydration deaths actually happened on “ecstasy” (or molly or whatever the hell kids are calling it these days). Colorado News and Denver News: The Denver Post

BUT DON’T TELL that to someone with cannabis-induced high anxiety! That’s a major faux pas!

I got too high. ~200mg worth of RSO, plus dry-herb vaping, plus drinking. Woke up at 2am and could feel the anxiety flowing through me. Decided that sleep simply wasn’t something I could “mind over matter” and dorked around on the intertrons until it went away. But I knew I was playing stupid games and won a stupid prize.

I’ve also gotten “too high” off dabs, but (after the coughing fit where I wasn’t sure I could breathe) that was more like “oh, I’ve entered the plaid dimension. Ok.” No anxiety, and netflix was the right answer.

I get panic attacks when I get “too high”, always edibles because of the delay. It’s hard to sleep when you are in a panic. Eventually you do sleep and wake up fine but waiting to sleep while trying to convince yourself than nothing is actually medically wrong with you can be a long drawn out ordeal.

Although the video wouldn’t help either. I just have to do my typical anti panic breathing and visualization exercises even though the altered state makes them less effective and wait for sleep in a calm, comfortable spot.

(This is not a frequent thing, I normally just don’t get more high than is fun and comfortable.)

Came here for this. Not disappointed.

My solution for the too-high panic and anxiety is just to constantly remind myself that whatever it is that’s causing anxiety, will not seem like such a big deal in the morning. Which is actually true, even if it’s a legit anxiety.
