Bang. We just blew up the internet.
I respond to the idea that one canāt affordably eat āvegetarianism/veganismā, deferring to fast food instead. ugh
I respond to this as largely ignorant of socioeconomics in the US, and of agriculture, dietary and nutritional knowledge in general. I live in a temperate climate, where the growing season is much shorter than in the areas where we ship produce from kilokilometers away in the off season, at roller-coaster prices that range from (as weāre accustomed to it) cheap to expensive.
Still, thereās always the supplement from local land available, maybe even from your own garden, and preserving off-season food through the winter. One trick is to eat whatās available.
I say this beside my high horse, who I admire from the ground, never having managed to mount it. My family doesnāt make good use of leftovers, thinking āIām not in the mood for thatā, and leaving them to expire. We do grow some veggies and herbs, though we never plan it out. Itās pretty much a diletantteās bonus.
This in spades. Avoiding fast food is a matter of education and spending the time. If the middle class is challenged to provide healthy meals during their hectic day, how much more challenging for those that are working two and three jobs, with limited access to transportation?
I see the solution in eductation, personal empowerment over oneās behaviour, and more importantly
the economic equity and ability to even begin to dream about all of that.
Okay, my waiter talked a lot about the sauces and sides, but they never mentioned that.
They ate the chickens, and nobody said anything.
Then they ate the cows, and nobody said anything.
Next they ate the pigs, and nobody said anything.
After the pigs, they ate the fish, and nobody said anything.
And then they came to eat me, and nobody was left to say anything.
Oh, you poor lambā¦
This was from the perspective of a frog!
When they came to eat the parrots the damn things wouldnāt let them hear the end of it.
Iām guessing you are broccoli!
Iām with you on the feral pigs. As my friend says, theyāre out in the wild living a good life then BLAM! Meatā¦
The best sauce for chicken or steak are the tears of a vegan.
If Iād have been there she would have been rudely interrupted by my sides entering orbit.
Many groups choose leaders who are mentally unstable. Most states and nations do as well.
I donāt get it , what would she like to be done with the chicken ?
From the sounds of it, see them through a three-year course at the local college, help them find a partner, settle down out in the valley, sell used office furniture out there on San Fernando road, assume a $30,000 loan at 15-1/4%, put a down payment on a little two-bedroom placeā¦
True, otherwise that statement would be misrepresenting mad scientists.
And you can grow your own, at home, just like sourdough starter!
Haha , those animals wonāt say anything (alive or dead )
That is cute , but what job will these chicken get ? May be a poultry gaurd ?
Probably not for long. They always seem to fowl things up.
Maybe itās because weāre women.
Seems weāre in the same boat, metaphorically speaking. (Thatād be one big ass boat, what, with spanning from US to Oz.)
Iāve been the evil person cooking fish in it. Mwah, ha, haa, haaa!!!111!! Payback for whomever cooked oatmeal in it. That shitās vile.
