Somehow I knew you’d see through that
Ah… I mean a different set of books… Not biblical in origin. And a different narrative from a historical perspective…
That is one of the funniest books ever.
I am torn between Josh lovingly cradling the coffee beans or the whole I missed my dad disappointment when he gets baptized for my favorite parts.
Ah yes, Aryanism in its modern incarnation. While I wouldn’t assume it, let’s say I’d be not surprised in the slightest if this woman subscribed to key aspects of that school of thought.
I do have my moments…
*lolz
I like the fact that Jesus has a foul-mouthed buddy. I think Biff made me laugh the most. Anyhoo, not religious myself but I gave it to a faithful Episcopalian (close family friend) who loved it.
Why is she recording herself and posting it? Is she protesting because she cares or because she wants attention?
Having grown up in the evangelical tradition (although way, way more moderate), I can tell you she honestly believes she is showing love to these people by rebuking them. I would imagine she believes that by sharing it, she is witnessing as she is called to do.
I would assume it.
And it’s not just Aryanism…
It’s a belief that Americans are the lost tribe of Israel. That politics playing out now is just a conspiracy. All roads lead to Armageddon. Only white people have souls. The constitution is divinely inspired. Also guns.
So many guns.
Oh, believe me, I know a few. I do live in Texas. And although Austin is Texas’s most liberal enclave, we do have our Alex Jones type assholes.
When I was really into learning Python, rather than just using it as my goto programming language, I came across this book.
“The Spirit of Python” Hmm. Is that like the “Zen of Python”?
…Exposing Satan’s plan to squeze the life out of you.
Oh. Never mind…
That’s nice, lady, I’m going to back away slowly now.
One of Moore’s best, I think. In the same vein, I really enjoyed The Stupidest Angel.

I actually felt sorry for the officer there. I mean really, if they’re going to be abusive with a taser anyway, I’m surprised he didn’t start up right about then. “Jesus, huh? How do you feel about Thor? zap!”
Haven’t read it, yet. I read Lamb in 2004-ish and I hear his other stuff is pretty good, so I’ll have to give it try after I finish the series that I’m currently reading. Thanks for the tip!
As a Pagan, I can quite assure you that those people hunting Easter Eggs, the Easter Bunny, etc. are not spreading Paganism. Want to know what lead me to being a Pagan? People like her, actually. I had quite enough of that sort and decided to see what else was available.
“It’s okay to eat fish, 'cause they don’t have any feelings.” (RIP, Mr. Cobain)
Also, I once heard somebody in my vicinity question whether fish were meat, and I almost couldn’t resist turning around. “Nah, bro, they just pull 'em out of the ground!”
Only seven? Dante damned that many before breakfast.
Well, they are carrot-shaped, more or less.
Her father was a knigget, you insensitive clod!
