Certainly, it’s a mix of that and wealthy tourists. The few times i go by there i have no idea how all those stores make enough money to stay open, they’re almost always empty.

The only food place I liked there was driven out by rent increases. The location is still vacant four years later. Fucking real estate scam if you ask me.

i’ve witnessed people doing this at the houston zoo parking lot. it’s disgusting. our personal experience was when we found an amazing spot right by the entrance but an elderly asian woman waited for a car to leave then stood in the parking spot on the phone refusing to move. we have since parked further from the entrance but have witnessed it several times happening to other people.

It’s always amusing how people takes comments way more serious than they were intended, but you are right that it can’t be fun to be named after “Tricky Dick”. Naming your children after Daenarys turned out to be a mistake too.
Actually the whole “someone blocked my parking spot” fall under First world problem.

It seemed to me that there are (perceived) social strata and or position of power and or racial superiority entitlement elements that all Karen incidents have in common.
I said nothing of asymmetrical Karenness-intensifying hairstyles.

So, did a car try to force her to move by pulling into her or not? While I’m not advocating for this woman in any way, someone trying to force you to move out of the way with a car is assault.
I couldn’t care less about that; I was stating my own personal opinion as a Woman of Color living in this White supremacist society.

But you see it’s very important that we determine what Karens do and don’t look like when they’re femme presenting and what their income bracket is otherwise.
IMO I tend to agree that if you call the cops and report a false crime in order to win a petty argument that’s a Karen move no matter who you are, where you were born, or how you style your hair. I mean the point of the word is to call out the entitled shitty behavior more than anything else.
