Must be a rather tiny dot as I cannot see it.
Apologies if I came across as a bit too direct or agressive.
I do love this community snark and all, and have used many peopleās inputs to think and rethink my positions in life as everyone should be doing more anyway heh.
Not at all, just thought Iād be clear!
Hahah - what? What are you talking about? Enabling civil war?
Yeah ok man.
For the record, I am 100% against another civil war and donāt foresee one happening anytime soon.
That is ingeniously simple [and simply ingenious], it is that kind of attention to design and small details that makes me fall in love with something, it really shows that the creators of a building, car, computer, gun, apron, etc. care about those who will end up using it. I would also say the same thing goes for longevity, you said it was yourā Grandfatherās apron, that also says something about the care that was put into creating it. I havenāt been able to find a product like that for a long time. Do you have a picture of it?
Letās not over exaggerate, throwing around hyperboles is not going to get us to a happy placeā¦ unless your idea of a happy place has white padded walls and straight jackets. *(In terms of the readability of this topic and its effect on my much beloved sanity.)
*CLARIFICATION EDIT
That was kinda my point. āPeopleā are saying āzomg they had prepared for this attackā when a tac vest and a bunch of guns and ammo is not altogether uncommon in gun fondlers home arsenals.
and 12 pipe bombs with a jurry rigged remote control?
Tac vest alone is common in way more settings.
Bare propellant (e.g. from decommissioned ammo, or from blank cartridges) is also fun when you fool around with small-scale indoor pyrotechnics (just a few grains at a time so a little goes a long way; more energy is more fun but does not scale linearly, at low end you can have more fun per buck).
Ooooooooooooookay. Thatās an extra level of bad.
They have started releasing the names of some of the victims with some short profiles on them. We should not forget that this discussion we are currently having directly relates to 14 individuals who had their lives cut short and 21 injured who will all at minimum likely have physical scars for the rest of their lives, and this does not even include those who have been hurt in ways we can not see, the relatives and friends of those killed and wounded, the emergency personnel, and those present when the shooting occurred.
Whether or not any given person in this forum falls on one side or the other of the gun control debate we can hopefully at least all agree that: mass shootings are currently a major problem in the United States; They should not be happening this frequently, if at all; There is a problem in this country with guns and something needs to be done to fix it; And finally, any loss of human life that could have been prevented should be treated not as a commonality but as warning sign that has come too late. These shootings are the canneries in the coal mine dying after the miners have already suffocated.
They killed the fucking guy who ran the coffee hut in the building. W-T-F!? The shooter worked there and had to have gotten coffee from him. Who kills the barista?
Whoa, whoa, whoa! Letās not go all crazy here.
Indiscriminate fire?
Iām betting they didnāt invite the barista to the holiday party so that seems unlikely.
Fair point, I didnāt mean to speak for others, only to suggest what I believe should be the indisputable areas of overarching agreement. Thank you for that correction.

Youāre mistaken. I donāt own any killing machines.
The time Rob referred to I let people get under my skin. I apologized to Rob for that.
The second time I was clarifying someones assumptions.
Uh - I could take one, but it is just a denim apron with a pocket. Very similar to that pick only the pocket is placed higher.
I have no idea how old it is. He started as a machinist in the Navy during WWII and I know he worked for some aerospace parts contractor in KC. But I donāt know if this is from his machinist days, or just one for tooling around the garage. Maybe 40 years ago you could get them at Ace Hardware, but they stopped making them like that because the pocket cost more to make.
I guess you are right. I thought if I pointed it out you might see how including a flattering picture of your own copy of the same weapon platform used in this atrocity, in this particular conversation about that atrocity, might be in poor taste. Looks like I am mistaken.
Wait, really? You donāt have any guns?
