Mulvaney said it’s OK, since the resort said that they will host it “at cost.” This is an old developer’s trick to pay for renovations and new development on someone else’s dime.
Watch for “necessary renovation” or “mandatory development” at Doral prior to the summit. That’s Trump using our tax dollars for his own benefit.

The President is a peer of everyone involved. The framers of the Constitution put protections for the office of president, but it’s held by a citizen.
Any protections are to ensure the effectiveness of the office, it’s not because they thought the holder of the office should never be held to account as a citizen. It’s the opposite.
