Jesus, why don’t we get a clicker and some fake bacon to train him with while we’re at it?
It’s stupefying just how far some people’s standards have fallen in less than 3 years.

Would the Secret Service intervene if Pelosi sprayed him in the face with water every time he did crime?
That’s presidential waterboarding.
All joking aside, it’s the job of the House to investigate and press charges sort to speak and it’s the job of the Senate to put Trump on trial based on the House’s investigation. So why does the senator seem to not understand his role as a senator about that process? He’s referring to it like your standard trial. There’s a reason why the witness protection system is in place to keep witnesses safe from mob bosses. There’s a reason why investigators don’t repeatedly tell the press every single detail about the case they’re investigating.
I can see Rudy and his cronies driving around in some 1970’s vintage Mystery Van chasing down trump’s bat shit crazy conspiracies around the world. Sure to be a hit Sat morning cartoon on Fox and Friends!
We need to remember that history, period. Way to many don’t. Denying history is a real thing now.
And your point?
It’s not like I think people don’t know what it means, but it feels like one of those things where people say a word over and over it takes on a dream-like quality. Like Mulvaney said that, yes, aid was dependent on investigations into American elections. Later, Mulvaney said, “I never said there was a ‘quid pro quo’.” It’s a bit like Mulvaney admitted to going into a bank with a gun, demanding money, and taking the money away, and then says, “I never said it was a ‘bank robbery’” and somehow tricked a bunch of political pundits sit around debating what a bank robbery is.
Like every time Trump tells the truth cut a check for $1M? I get that Trump appears to respond to praise more than criticism, but really Trump responds to nothing but internal states and we should all be old enough to admit we don’t control other people’s emotions.
I’ve told this story elsewhere, but I had a prof who set up a display of these with a local museum. One of the first groups she led through on they opened the exhibit, a man looked down and said “that’s my uncle” pointing to one of the cards. So, yeah… we need to remember it and remember it happened to real people…
So nice to see how serious Republicans take the handling of classified information after spending 2 entire campaign cycles screaming about how important it is.
It should be noted that this publicity stunt by GOP members (claiming that the closed-door impeachment hearings are ‘soviet style’) ignores that the testimony is being given to a bipartisan group of Democrats and Republicans.
So that’s why he threw a fit about the NYT on Hannity a few nights ago
Was the uncle getting lynched or lynching someone?
[endless screaming]
I confess, that’s creepier than I even gave him credit for…
pleasepleasepleaseplease arrest Matt Gaetz and throw away the key. The man is a carbuncle on the ass of our republic.
JFC Why isn’t the Sergeant at Arms handcuffing these republican asshats and dragging them off to jail?
Grow a pair Dems!
He was getting lynched. This was a local African American museum, and the first group through was primarily African Americans.
Most of these people are fucking lawyers – they know how this is all supposed to work. They just don’t care, or are trying to confuse the low information electorate and muddy the waters. It’s the exact same thing as a regular court collecting grand jury testimony – which is also secret. And why is it secret? So the witnesses don’t have an opportunity to get their stories aligned. The best analogy I’ve heard is questioning witnesses to a mass murder while the suspect gets to watch.
We’ll get our public testimony and the opposition will get the opportunity to cross examine once the impeachment committee finishes its investigation and hands it off to the judicial committee.
Right now this is just all showboating, and it’s sickening.
