Looks like they just left to go vote.

The room will have to swept and cleared before anything starts again.

Assholes.

Trump “ordered” them to grow a spine and fight the process. This is their response I guess? Dumbest timeline strikes again.

It’s been pointed out that bursting into a SCIF meeting like this could have resulted in these guys getting shot. The only reason that didn’t happen is that they were farting around outside for awhile and the guards were prepared.

Also: looks like Trump directed them to physically obstruct the impeachment proceedings.

That’s not obstruction of justice… they could have continued on, besides these are totally unconstitutional and invalid investigations, blah, blah, blah… /s

I re-read the Constitution last night just on a whim. (I wish more people would do this.) The funny/not funny thing is it’s pretty damn vague when it comes to the rules of impeachment more or less saying, “when this happens, the House gets to set the rules”. But I guess these people only care about the constitution when it comes to the 1st amendment (when it’s their free speech), and the 2nd amendment (as vague as it is). Everything else is just an inconvenience.

And ironically, they run on the rule of law, but they only really like the rule of law when it is being used to enforce their own narrow and bigoted world view.

I’m still trying to figure out what the senior GOP and RNC think they’ll get from running interference at this point. From what’s already been revealed and backed up by testimony he should be impeached. But some how they persist in this delusion that they can keep this crap up. But then again they did with this Nixon with more damning evidence on him. It’s like they can’t just say “hey we messed up, maybe we need to rebuild our party and stuff…” Yet that idea isn’t entering into their minds. It’s *bleeping* wild.

Well. They seem to be succeeding so far.

How much will the Democrats put up with before they hold these bad faith actors accountable? The answer seems to be: A lot more.

I wager they’ll be happy just to be back in the majority of the Legislative and Executive branches, with pardons to go around for all the Republicans.

After Watergate Nixon got a pardon, but they didn’t hand pardons out like candy to everyone around Nixon. John Mitchell went to prison, as did many others. I don’t know if they’ll think they need to pardon Trump to “heal” the country or whatever, but I bet there will be a lineup of DOJ employees fighting to be the one who gets to prosecute their current boss.

Just my opinion, but the best way to “heal” the country is to put the man in prison, and in doing so destroy his legacy.

That security did not block them from entering is absolutely inexcusable.

White Congressional Privilege is a hellava thing.

I don’t know. I guess they still see it as a game between themselves and their “enemies” across the aisle instead of real life. It’s fucked up.

This is considered completely normal by the GOP…

but this they consider to be juvenile…

Can we invalidate his court appointments? That would be a hell of a start to healing the country!!

I mean, it’s not like Graham has ever participated in an Impeachment before…Oh, what, he has? Wait…he was one of the Judiciary Committee prosecutors in the Senate trial of Bill Clinton!?! &%($%)^&#$(&^!!!

It’s also being reported that the stunt was coordinated with Trump. Write that up as another Article of Impeachment, and name the GOP representatives as unindicted co-conspirators.
