Flake’s a fake with nothing at stake; that wishy-washy rake can go jump in a lake.
Spoilers: She wanted to let people know how much of a spiteful fuck he is.
What she said about Trump, reminded me of The Pillars of the Earth, when King Stephen, trying to educate his son, Eustace, on how to be a king, told him that a king never makes bad decisions, and that if anything goes wrong, blame his advisors.
You just made me “like” something Jeff Flake said. Ugh. Brb, I need a shower.
I won’t shut down what he had to say about the GOP, but I still don’t respect him. He basically threw a live hand grenade (Kavanaugh) into the room as he was walking out. I think the reason for his op-ed piece is at least partly driven by his being a paid consultant to CBS.
It hasn’t even been a whole term; it’ll be full three years this coming January 20th… though I fully understand that it feels like it’s been so much fucking longer.

At the very least they need to confiscate his guns under Washington’s Red Flag Law.
It’s like saying that you weren’t indicted because you haven’t had a trial. It just doesn’t work that way. He is and forever will be impeached. Yet another asterisk to add to his popular vote losing, foreign government influenced, and now first term impeached presidency.
So? What’s he going to do, have his fans form a human wall to stop Pelosi when she does drop them on the Senate?
It really would be hilarious if they did that and she sent it by email.
He so desperately wants his acquittal at this point so he can say how he won against the deep state or some crap, but nothing will get that stain out.
Whether it’s nonsense or not kinda doesn’t matter; it’s still one more outrageous claim he can use to drive the news cycle, which he’s so good at. And for him, in his mind and for his followers, lying is taking is winning.
Not to mention, he weathered it less graciously than Clinton did.
