Alabamians explain why they are voting for Roy Moore

Actually, yes she is.
And she’s bringing it on herself.

Yep.

Reminds me of reports that the average income of Trump voters was over 70k per year. So much for stereotypes that his supporters (and Moore’s) are a bunch of white trash peons.

Yep, the median even:

Though the uncapped nature of US income greatly skews the data, and voters tend to earn more than non-voters. The big take is in the south particularly - the difference between GOP and Democratic voter income is much larger.

While I generally agree with you, I’m heartened that there are a large number of voters in Alabama who are willing to NOT vote for Moore. Just the fact that the race is super close in a super-red state means that some people get it.

I want to say I’m hardened in that I literally wake up to this every. day. But it’s NPR, so when they cover horrorshows like this I still feel like I’m being led through the nine circles by Virgil.

You think having them as possibly future adversaries was a better idea?

TBH (with apologies), I only came to ask why Alabamians and why not Alabamans? Is either ok, or is there a commonly-accepted form? Alabamians just looked weird to my eyes (even more so if they elect Moore!)

That’s a great question, and I honestly don’t know the answer. Alabamians looks really weird to me as well so I wrote “Alabamans”. I think both are technically ok!

Glad it’s not just me. My double-take on seeing it had me checking I hadn’t just read “Albania”.
I hesitate, as a non-USian (or is that USan?), to comment on US usage of its own geographical terms, but as a test, how many of the other US states that end in [consonant, a] use “ians”. But Alabamia has a certain ring to it.

Holy hell, I watched 1 min. and 40 seconds and could take no more. This vid. is - for lack of better words - perfect cringe for me. Makes me wanna go full ‘hatorade’ on them, but I shall not. (What’s the point?)

You can so almost hear their brains bouncing back any notion that their could be some need here to rethink something. Almost as if their minds were very ‘dense’ (wanna penetrate me? too bad, I’ve granite-mind, sucka!)

Bad, so bad.

Okay, a bit of hate: Ugh, so white, so old, so pot-bellied, so mustach-ed, so bald, so normies. hrrrrrr.

Good points jmr32 and milliefink, thanks. Perhaps what I was trying to express was equal frustration between their support for a serial predator and how totally far gone they are.

That’s a shame. Appears Alabama needs abortion the most.

ba-da-bing.

Tip you servers, try the salmon, and I’ll be here all week.

I’ll show myself to the door.

As if republicans would pay to have a road paved when any tom dick or harry could use it.

It’d seem to me like they’d only be willing to pay for paving roads for people who they know can afford to pave their own way already.

Just look at all the corporate welfare they love to hand out to companies with billions in annual revenue.

Reminds me of the good old days. If only today’s families could be as strong as his owner’s…

Fuckery update:

Please post your favorite screaming GIFs. I need them.

Abortion is why they say they are voting for Moore.

What they say is not necessarily what is true. Remember where the anti-abortion movement came from.

DAMMIT! I hear it now as well.
