people keep saying "it couldn’t happen to a nicer person " when literally it wouldn’t have happened to a nicer person
the money you donate does not go to these people, it goes to fight this fraud
I hope he’s wrong about that, and I really hope his shithead followers believe it anyway and donate a ton of money that ultimately finds its way to his victims. Because really, they deserve to be on the hook for this too.
honestly, it’s still not enough.
Isn’t that what the SPLC did, at least in some cases? When the Klan couldn’t or wouldn’t pay up, the plaintiffs got their meeting hall. (Though maybe he’ll claim it’s his home…)
I want to see an agent assigned to follow him everywhere he goes, and for every transaction or personal asset that he interacts with, confiscate it. Every single thing that he owns should be forfeit. I want to see him penniless, with only the rags on his back, and living in the gutter, with whatever wealth he has locked up in offshore accounts inaccessible for fear of confiscation, and therefore meaningless.
Hey, I can dream.
I’m in love with this.
This would be only case of homelessness I can get behind
For curiosity/humor value to med students?
Christ, what an asshole.
He’s gloating because he knows that none of these families will ever see a dime of these judgments. Just look at OJ (with interest he owes the Goldmans $70 million; he’s paid $132k). The judgment amount is cartoonishly large (how do you even quantify the damage he’s done?) and even though they’ve attempted to provide the “justice” they can in this venue, IMO, it’s ringing hollow because he just won’t stop his bullshit.
The size of the award means that some of the best lawyers and accountants will be willing to work the case for a small percentage.
There’s nothing that can return to these families what they’ve lost. There’s nothing that can possibly compensate them for the harm Jones has done. But between the way he’s alienated the courts involved, and the sheer amount of money involved, as @nixiebunny mentioned, lawyers, PIs, and forensic accountants be like:
And he can’t rely on his usual tactics of invoking grand conspiracies of crisis actors, this time.
Oh, I want him to be remembered. For this. As a warning to all the other asshats out there who think they can just make up shit and say anything they want without consequences
Said it before… Call me when he pays a nickel of his own money.
None of his previous “losses” have cost him anything. Between shelters, lawyers, and friendly judges that do not enforce judgments, he keeps broadcasting and pulling in dough.
It’s going to take dedicated individuals to corner him with civil suits like they did with OJ.
Otherwise, business as usual!
OJ lived in one of the most expensive neighborhoods on Earth. His NFL pension wouldn’t cover the gardening fees.
I would settle for having his vocal chords burnt off with a red hot poker.
In this one instance, and only this one, I’d be ok with a return of debtor’s prison.
Ignoring these guys does not fix things. Neither does forgetting about them.
Holding them to account does.
