Just, and I should not have to say this, just make sure it is properly prescribed by an actual doctor for what it is usually adviced for and legally procured through an actual pharmacist and read the label and insert before use… right?

Not precisely true (but mostly). Not nearly as much as the rabies vaccines, but an early vaccine jab might speed up the process if it comes before the viral load peaks.
OTOH if you’re already bad enough to be in hospital? Better luck in your next life.
