Of all the nonsense they use to motivate their idiocy, “freedom” is the one they should be banned to use. It just irritates me hearing fascists using a word that is completely extraneous to their so called ideals. When I hear a fascist speaking about freedom and democracy, the very first image that comes to mind is a pornstar speaking about sexual abstinence; they have just the same level of credibility: zero.

When I hear about some COVID-denier getting sick I do tend to think “ha, serves you right” but I really dont get any comfort out of it. I would much rather everyone focused on fighting the disease with the only ways we currently know how: masks, distancing, testing/tracing.
Sure, it sucks to not be able to go to a bar or have a big party, it would suck more if I or my friends got sick.
I didn’t mind the lockdown, but now that things are opening up again I find I’m slowly slipping into normalcy when I’m not thinking about it. The old normal may be gone for good.
